Copperas Cove, Texas – The Constitution Drive Reconstruction Project received a notice to proceed on Monday, June 12, 2023. TTG Utilities, Inc. was previously awarded the bid in April of 2023 to reconstruct Constitution Drive from E Bus US 190 to MLK Jr. Drive with a new concrete road surface. Constitution Drive Reconstruction Project, Phase 3, Step 1 Construction has been completed on Phases 1 & 2 of the project and the contractor has now moved into Phase 3, which includes reconstruction of the intersection of Constitution Drive and MLK Jr. Drive. The intersection is passable, however MLK Jr. Drive is closed from Constitution Drive to RGIII Blvd. All motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to follow posted construction signs for the safety of themselves and work crews.
